Beachport is a wonderful seaside district located in the Lower South East of SA within the Limestone Coast Region that is 392km from Adelaide and 518km from Melbourne. Located half way between Melbourne and Adelaide Beachport is a great place to stay over. Bordered by the gorgeous coastline, Beachport offers a multitude of coastal activities for visitors. The first industry in the South East of South Australia was a whaling station at Beachport. The bay is now home to a thriving fishing fleet and is a popular tourist destination. The jetty formally was 1.2km long and was later upgraded and is now 772 meters long.
